10Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies. 11Herhusband can trust her, andshe will greatly enrich his life. 12She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. 13She finds wool and flax and busily spins it. 14She is like a merchant’s ship, bringingher food from afar.15 Shegets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household and plan the day’s work for her servant girls.1 6She goes to inspect a field and buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17She is energetic and strong, ahard worker. 18She makes sure her dealings are profitable; her lamp burns late into the night. 19Her hands are busy spinning thread, herfingers twisting fiber. 20Sheextends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy. 21Shehas no fear of winter for her household, foreveryone has warm clothes. 22Shemakes her own bedspreads. Shedresses in fine linen and purple gowns. 23Herhusband is well known at the city gates, where he sits with the other civic leaders. 24She makes belted linen garments andsashes to sell to the merchants. 25She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. 26When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. 27Shecarefully watches everything in her householdand suffers nothing from laziness. 28Herchildren stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: 29“There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, butyou surpass them all!” 30Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the lordwill be greatly praised .31Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise

Proverbs 31 project!!

4/28/2016

So today I was searching thru Amazon when I came across the book Proverbs 31 project by Melissa Calloway. As I began reading it I thought hmm this is really something I could benefit from. I then asked a few friends if they would like to commit a year to the Proverbs 31 project, they agreed being the amazing friends they are. So I was trying to figure out a way to get the projects out there while not having to print the projects out to fill out and thought what better way then to do a blog. Not only will it hold me accountable if anyone else wants to join they can. We will start this project tomorrow 4/29/2016 and will end it 4/29/2017. What better way to start my birthday then with a goal set for the next year. I can already tell this will not be the easiest of projects but it may be the project that helps me the most with self growth. Melissa created the Proverbs 31 Project as a way to help her deal with depression. The book has a lot of good context and is only .99 cents in the Amazon store so go invest in it so you can read it all. Melissa broke Proverbs 31:10-31 into 12 parts, studying one section a month.

"Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies. Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of his life." (Proverbs 31:10-12)

Month 1 Part 1

Month 1 starts with posting, journaling, or whatever form you may have of writing 10 things you love about yourself for 30 days. By the end of month one you should have at least 300 compliments about yourself. She says to not wait until the last minute and try to do all 10 at once and to complete each challenge honestly.

Month 1 Part 2

The second part of the verse says "Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of his life." Melissa states that she did this challenge without even dating someone. I will do the challenge as a single woman myself, so don't get discouraged. For the second part you will need a box of some sort, a shoe box will work. We are going to make a husband box. This part is about enriching his life some ideas Melissa used are Writing him a love letter, she goes on to say if your single write a love letter to your future mate, and to let yourself feel in love. Some of her other ideas include: writing a prayer to God letting him know how thankful you are, fun date ideas, pictures of happy times, pictures of dream homes, baby names or pictures of your children, vacation spots you'd like to visit. I plan on putting a lot of effort in mine and really thinking it thru. The best part about it is that no one has to know about the box its yours. Do with it what you wish. You don't just have to put things you would enjoy, put things that the guy you want would like, for example if fitness is a big deal to you, you could put a picture of a guy running in their. This is your project there are no limitations.

Get some rest tomorrow I will post my first 10 compliments along with the verse Melissa shares in her book Proverbs 31 Project and every day after that I will post another 10 the day before a new month starts I will post a blog with details of what is to come the next month. I hope this inspires others as it has me. Go download the book and lets take this journey together!! Love yall!!
